Roaster not recognized over USB-C by Windows at all, can't use Boost :(

I just got my BOOST kit so was super excited to set it up.

However, the roaster is just not detected via USB-C (I have the one with just USB-C).

I've tried this so far:
1. Resetting the roaster.
2. Verify cable is good. For this I verified by successfully connecting to my Samsung S22 phone, and windows promptly opens up File Manager on the phone showing its contents. In Device Manager, under "Universial Serial Bus Controller" my phone shows up.
However, with the Kaffelogic, nothing happens. Don't even get the sound when a USB device is plugged in. Its almost as if the roaster-side PCB is "dead" or not initiating any connection at all.

I've only recently gotten this roaster and only got 7 hours on it. Also created Jira ticket with the same info + serial number.
