Sadly, my earlier trouble with “Appliance Fault” error messages has not gone away. Right after doing the “fix”, everything works, but the next time I direct-connect, the same error messages are there all over again. Has anyone found a permanent fix? (I have done the reset, reformat on board memory, & rescue mode, route; but that fix hasn’t been enough to completely address whatever is wrong.)

I have reviewed your previous communications with customer support and asked them to get back in touch with you. It looks like there may be a fault with your roaster's PCB. Customer support will confirm and follow up.
