Firmware version 7.6.6.1429

#2498

Post by Rehtael »

After years of almost flawless use, I've just update my original unit to this firmware and am now getting "Fault detected" errors (wasting beans).

There is nothing in the log file(s), they just stop recording.

I've removed the USB (SanDisk Cruzer Blade) and a new roast is progressing. I've done checks on the USB and nothing is showing up as problematic. Looks like possibly some buggy comms with the USB roast logging.

I've done more than 15 roast with this firmware but did not have any issue.

Hi All

I hope you are all well.

We are looking into the firmware issue above. Could anyone let me know if the issue has resolved or is it still ongoing? Is that the only error you get from the roaster?

Regards

Hi Wayne ,

Since upgrading:
  • First roast resulted in the fault early in the roast cycle.
  • Second roast results in the fault during cool down cycle.
  • Third roast succeeded.
  • Fourth roast succeeded.
  • Fifth roast results in the fault during cool down cycle.
  • Sixth roast resulted in the fault early in the roast cycle.
I just received a supply of beans yesterday and have a few roasts to do to stock the grinder in between work hours.

I've ended up having to downgrade to 7.5.0.1124 just so I could roast something, was getting resonably persistent failures and beans are getting a bit too expensive.

I wonder if there is a bug somewhere around the power check. I can sometimes get low power messages under < 7.6.6 versions

Hi All

I also encountered some issue here after updating the firmware. same error during cooling. I have no choice but downgrade back to old firmware. And I think I cant change profile on new firmware. it stuck on loading the new one.

Please find last log and photo of the error attached.

Wei

I'm currently trying with the new 7.7.8.1538 firmware, will see how it goes.

2 complete roasts done without issue, so 🤞🤞

Hi Wmcoffeelove

Thanks for this.

Please try the latest firmware update release through Kaffelogic Studio:

7.7.8.1538. Please let me know if the issue persists with this?
